Crossing the Andes before entering Ecuadorean airspace

Our next stop was a lovely fishing and beach town south west of Guayaquil, called Playas. 2.5 days of R&R
and some tasty Ecuadorean street food, such as baked platanos and chicken, shellfish, cangrejo (crab)

Ecuador's answer to ceviche

After all that food, Max really needed to shed some weight...

Now off to the beach...
...to watch the local fishermen and birds fight about who gets to have what...
These 'conchas' are a local delicacy

Our last night here at a beach bar, chatting to the locals

Early start in the morning of the 6th back to Guayaquil to catch another flight...
